Our Staff
Our pre-school team of qualified staff helps the children to settle in and make friends, assesses their progress and liaises with parents, whilst ensuring that the activities on offer are tailored to each child's particular needs.
While at the pre-school each child is assigned a key worker, who will take special interest in that child; helping them to settle in and make friends, assessing their progress and discussing this with parents, and ensuring that the activities on offer are tailored to the child’s particular needs.
Staff meet regularly to plan future activities, and share information about recent ones.
All our staff are assessed by Ofsted and have passed enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Name: Natalie Lambert
Profile: Hello, my name is Natalie Lambert. I have worked at the pre-school since 2005 and am the joint leader along with Mo.
I love my job and everyday is different. Seeing all the children grow and flourish in all areas in magical. I am very enthusiastic and full of energy. I love getting the children up and moving especially outside.
We would love to welcome your child into our warm, welcome and friendly environment.
Name: Mo Viney
Profile: My name is Melissa Viney (Mo). I am married to Mark and have two sons, Stewart and Ryan. I come from a large family being one of 5 children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and socialising with friends. I like to go walking in our beautiful surroundings and going swimming. I have been at the pre-school since 2002 where I got my NVQ2 and 3 qualifications in childcare followed in 2013 with completing my foundation degree.
I am joint leader at the preschool and the SENCO. The best part of the job is the time spent interacting with the children and the thrill when they accomplish something for the first time. Over the years I have met an interesting array of parents all with the same goal - to give their children the best start in life.
Name: Mandy Coward
Profile: My name is Mandy Coward and I have worked at Corfe Castle Pre-School for over 32 years and have a level 3 qualification in childcare. I started my working life in the local area as a Nanny. At the same time, I spent much of my life making and selling crafts at various fairs around Purbeck.
Living in the village with my family dating back at least 9 generations in Corfe Castle, I am now happily married to Martin with two grown up children, Luke and Jasmin, and a crazy cocker spaniel. Much of my out-of-work time is now balanced between family life, spending time in my garden, walking the dog and yoga.
Over the years I have been lucky to see many of the local children that I helped along the way now return bringing children of their own back to the pre-school. Listening to them remember us and their time here is very touching. I thoroughly enjoy coming to work and watching young, smiley children develop their confidence and social skills in preparation for their early years in school.
Name: Abi Biles
Profile: Hi, I’m Abi, I’ve been working in childcare for 12 years now and love seeing what the children learn and achieve while being in my care.
There is no better satisfaction than helping a child complete an activity and seeing them progress. I would say I’m firm but fair, with lots of fun along the way.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going on holidays.
Name: Debbie
Profile: Hi, I’m Debbie, since leaving school I have always had a passion in working with children. I went on to study my level 2 and 3 diploma in childcare and have spent near on 16 years working in childcare. Every child is unique in their personality and it’s so special to be able to be a part of their learning journey.
My next exciting step is to focus on SEND and to expand my knowledge in this area.
Outside of work I enjoy long family walks, kayaking, camping and going on family adventures.
Name: Sam Cole
Profile: Hi, my name is Sam and I am the business manager at the pre-school and I have been working here since 2021. I have always worked in administration and have loved having the opportunity to become part of this pre-school and its fantastic team.
The pre-school has played a big part in my life over the last few years as all 3 of my children attended here which they all thoroughly enjoyed. It’s just like another big family for all the children that attend.
